Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible?

2. In short

We only collect what the waitlist needs: first name and email, optionally your city and what you would use PrePick for, and – only if you want – your WhatsApp number. We use no analytics tools, no advertising pixels, and we never sell data.

3. Visiting the website (hosting)

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, page requested, browser and operating system. This serves delivery and security of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; standard contractual clauses also apply. We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare.

4. Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

Cloudflare Turnstile protects our forms from bots. Technical data from your browser and your IP address are sent to and checked by Cloudflare (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – preventing abuse). Provider and transfer as in section 3.

5. Fonts and browser storage

Our fonts are served from our own server; your browser does not connect to third parties for them. We only store what the page needs in your browser: your language choice and – for the duration of your visit only – your first name and email so the thank-you page can address you (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Email waitlist

  • Data: first name, email address, language, time and wording of your consent, time of confirmation, your personal referral code and – if you came via a link – the code of the person who invited you. Optional: city and what you would use PrePick for.
  • Purpose: to inform you about the launch of PrePick, your access, the trial and the launch offer.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep proof of your consent based on our legal obligation and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).
  • Confirmation (double opt-in): After signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link. You are only on the waitlist after you click it. Unconfirmed entries are deleted after 30 days.
  • Unsubscribe: at any time via the link in every email or by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawal applies to the future.
  • Service provider: We use HighLevel, Inc. (LeadConnector), Dallas, Texas, USA, as processor for storage and sending. HighLevel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; EU standard contractual clauses also apply.
  • Tracking: We do not measure who opens our emails or clicks links in them.
  • Retention: until you withdraw consent or we no longer need the waitlist; at the latest 12 months after PrePick launches we delete data that is no longer needed.

7. WhatsApp (optional)

  • Data: phone number with country code, time and wording of your consent, your messages to us.
  • Purpose: messages about the launch, your access, a reminder before your trial ends and the launch price. Only a few messages until launch.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Unsubscribe at any time by sending “STOP” or by emailing [email protected].
  • Service providers: Messages are sent via the WhatsApp Business Platform of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, connected through HighLevel (see 6). Data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA; Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. WhatsApp’s own privacy notice also applies.
  • Retention: as in section 6.

8. Inviting friends

You get a personal link. If someone signs up via your link, we assign the entry to your code. You only see the number, never names or addresses. We never send invitations to your friends ourselves.

9. Contact

If you email us, we only use your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them when they are no longer needed.

10. Change of provider

PrePick is to be run by its own company later. The waitlist will then pass to that company. We will tell you by email beforehand; you can object at any time.

11. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

12. No automated decisions

We make no automated decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR and do not create profiles.
